Why is Google Track Your Internet Activity? Google recently launched their Google+ social bookmarking feature. In case you don't know, it allows you to "like" or bookmark a website, article or blog post so that others can read it. If you have a blog or want to encourage the sharing of your work, now's the time to start engaging your audience. Back in the early days, whenever someone asked you a difficult question, you only had a few choices. So this post on blogging tackles an important question for Internet Marketers: what is SEO? It used to be very difficult to come up with straightforward solutions to these questions without referencing a specific e-book or writing down your thoughts in the original form. However, thanks largely to the web and technologies in particular, this isn't so anymore. Today, when someone asks you a question related to your website, you can simply respond with a simple "yo, I'm new here and looking for answers. How may I help?" Of course, nowadays you can find tons of articles, blogs, YouTube videos, and Twitter feeds talking about specific topics in social media. For example, last week I saw that several prominent Internet Marketers had been invited to participate in a Google+ Hangout on the latest Google+ news. (Hangout is a series of video webinars.) Also, if you haven't joined the social blogging movement yet, it's time you do that. You can use Google+ Hangout to get your blog in front of hundreds or thousands of your closest and most trusted prospects. Hangout will allow you to show off your website, talk to others, and share your ideas - all in one place. (You can even invite other followers via Hangout to join you in conversations on your Google+ account.) And that's not all. If you host a blog and use WordPress as your content management system, you can integrate it into Google+ Hangout in an effort to market your website's social bookmarking activities. In the Google Hangout interface, visitors can click the "Bookmark This" button in order to easily manage their websites. From there, they can easily access their most active and popular social bookmarks. Google's Social Impact platform has many other uses, too. To help you get more exposure for your website's content, make sure to submit your site to all of Google's search result pages. You can also help your blog get discovered by encouraging your visitors to share it with their contacts, via sharing buttons that appear below the post. Sharing allows your website's visibility to increase significantly. The final purpose that Google Social Impact serves is to help you save time that you would otherwise spend researching your website's SEO efforts. It allows you to focus on improving your website's social media presence. As mentioned earlier, Google recommends using WordPress as a blogging platform, which is a well-known open source solution. Not only does it have plugins for common social media sharing functions, it also offers its own set of plug-ins that help you get more out of your blog. By taking advantage of these plug-ins, you'll be able to get more out of your social media activities, as well as your website. Google's Social Impact features are designed to help you save time. As such, they are worth taking advantage of. But, before using them, be sure that you understand how they will best serve your business goals. Doing so will help ensure that you get the most out of Google's Social Impact service. Google has four core categories that it tracks in its analytics: searches, activity, websites' and shares. These represent the core interests of Google's social research. For instance, when a person performs a search on Google, the website being searched on is what is considered. The activity portion is used to keep track of a user's interactions with websites (such as whether or not they like the content and if they return to the website). The websites' segment is used for websites that are part of a business's online marketing campaigns. Finally, the share portion is used to determine a websites' social success. By monitoring the websites' trends and tracking their activity, Google hopes to increase the websites' visibility. But that doesn't mean that Google is going to force changes on users; instead, it hopes to increase their level of participation. That is why it measures the amount of time users spend on each website. If users spend more time on a website's page, the company increases the website's visibility and influence. In addition, Google wants to ensure that its search algorithm isn't too rigid. agency is too complicated and prevents websites from benefiting from organic growth. However, by having Google monitor the websites' popularity, it can quickly adjust its algorithm in order to promote a website and decrease its competition. To increase agency , Google might even decide to devalue some of its higher-ranking sites. This strategy has been used in the past when Google wanted to demote certain websites for poor user behavior. agency has yet to implement this exact method, but the trend is clearly moving in that direction.
