What Is Watsu? Massage therapy is the practice of soft tissue manipulation in order to restore health or relieving pain. This kind of treatment is often referred to as "Mesotherapy" and is based on the same principles of chiropractic medicine. The patient lies down on a massage table or a chair while undergoing this type of treatment. Although the client does not have to lie on their backs, many clients prefer to be placed on their backs to make it easier to reach all parts of their bodies. In this kind of therapy it is the application of pressure to various areas of the body in order to alleviate pain, relax the body and/or help in healing. Massage therapy can be classified into two categories that are massage chairs and full-body massage. Massage chairs simulate manual therapy. Full-body massage demands that the client lay down on a table while keeping their eyes shut and/or stay in a heated room. In massage chairs, the massage movements are preprogrammed to produce various effects, from simple relief of sore muscles to full body massage. Massage therapy has many benefits, including the stimulation of tissue repair and the increase in muscle tension. In a full-body massage the massage therapist will apply consistent pressure to different areas of the body. Typically, the massage therapist will start at the feet and move up. Areas of the back are massaged, along with the major muscle groups , such as neck, shoulders, elbows, feet, buttocks and back. Additionally the massage therapist could apply stretching or resistance to specific muscles or areas of the body. It is essential to know what the practitioner does in order to give gentle and effective stretching. For instance, in watsu when the massage therapist makes a thrusting motion to move from toe to toe the practitioner must make sure that their hands aren't sloppy and they do not leave marks on the surface of the toes. By performing proper stretches on the body of the client the massage therapist can increase flexibility and decrease soreness. In a traditional Japanese massage practitioner will also use techniques to increase circulation, such as holding the hand of the client or forefinger in the palm of the hand for half a minute. Through breaths that are shallow and slow, the practitioner then stimulates specific points on the palm to remove the finger. This is called tsukubai. Practitioners can also do the kokyu-nage or tapping technique, which is designed to improve circulation and eliminate stagnant blood clots. The aim of this type of massage is to restore mobility to the joints of the spine. It also helps strengthen the soft tissues surrounding the spine. To reduce stiffness and speed up healing, light pressure must be applied in the direction of the joint's range of motion. 부천출장 To achieve maximum effect, the practitioner must not only apply direct pressure however, they must also stretch muscles in the direction of joints as well as cartilage changes. This technique can be used to stretch muscles, for example, lordosis (lifting one leg in the air) and Kegels (or pelvic tilts). Correct stretching of the muscles and soft tissues helps to prevent injuries from occurring. This kind of massage is also known by the term "hot and cold" since it incorporates both kinds of stretching. The one is typically performed using cold compression, while the other is done with warm compresses. Hot compresses can be used for as long as two to five minutes if you suffer from swelling or inflammation due to an injury. There are many types of cool and warm compressions. Numbness can suggest that the therapist applied too excessive heat. It is also possible to experience discomfort or pain if the massage is too hot. One of the great benefits of watsu massage is that it increases flexibility, balance, and strength. Many of these benefits have been lost when the techniques were changed from traditional to scientific. The decrease in tension in muscles is one of the benefits that is still achievable. If you're experiencing a lack of flexibility, this massage may help to improve your range of motion. Some early 1980s practitioners believe that watsu wasn't as effective in the early days as it is today.
