New Minecraft Launcher Starts With A Grey Screen System Restore is your first line of defense. It will restore you to the point before the problem started as the time machine. If it doesn't help then you can undo it. You can read the tutorial first and then restore back to the state you were in before it started. If System Restore is not enabled on C drive, do it now so it's available in the future. If the problem repeats or System Restore doesn't work then check which Windows Updates were installed at Settings > Update & Security > Windows Updates > Update History, uninstall them there or System Restore again, then immediately check for and block the Updates with the Hide Updates tool explained here: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/8280-hide-s... Even if it is the first time you tried the steps I have provided I suggest you repeat them in the order I suggest. 1) Run the Store apps troubleshooter in Settings > Update and Security > Troubleshoot. 2) Search for and install game updates in Microsoft Store app > Hub (three dots at the top right) > Updates. 3) Try Resetting Minecraft in Windows Settings > Apps > Features and Apps > Minecraft > Advanced Options > Repair or Reset. Restart your computer and try again. If none of these options work to work, uninstall Minecraft from Settings, reboot your computer, then reinstall MS Store Hub (three dots in the upper right corner of the Store app). 4) The Display driver is so crucial that simply updating it is sometimes not enough. Let's do our best to make sure it's functioning properly. You can update the driver for the Display on the Display adapter's or PC manufacturer's Support downloads page. This will provide the exact model number, HP Serial No. or Dell Service Tag - as indicated on the sticker that is on your PC. While there check also for the latest chipset, BIOS/UEFI firmware (very vital), network and sound, USB3 and other drivers in comparison to the ones currently installed in Device Manager, which can be accessed by right clicking on the Start Menu. For Display issues, one solution that is working is to Roll back or uninstall the Driver on the Display Device > Driver tab, restart the PC to reinstall driver. You can also test older drivers in Device Manager > Display device > Driver tab > Update Driver > Browse > Let Me Pick. Game servers Then you will know you've tried everything in addition to Windows Update drivers.
